Himachal Pradesh is a beautiful hill state in North India. Shimla is the capital of it. It is having 12 districts which are as follows Chamba, Kangra, Una, Hamirpur, Bilaspur, Mandi,Kullu, Lahul and Spiti, Solan, Shimla, Kinnaur and Sirmaur. Himachal Pradesh is having an approximate poplulation of 6.08 with a literacy rate of 77.13% . Kangra is the biggest of all districts in Himachal Pradesh. It is accessible through Air, Road and Railways Network. There are three airports, one in Shimla, second is at Kullu and the third is at Gaggal (Kangra). Shimla, Manali and Dharashala are world famous destinations of Himachal Pradesh. Himachal is also known as a spiritual destination. Dharamshala is the capital of Tibetan Exiled Government and Dalai Lama is as there Head. Bir, near Palampur is one of most famous paragliding sites in the world. On 25th January, 1971, Himachal Pradesh was made a full-fledged State. Hamirpur is the most educated district in Himachal Pradesh. Nearest states to Himachal are Punjab, Haryana, Jammu & Kashmir, Uttar Pradesh. It is having world famous temples few to name are Bhima Kali Temple in Sarahan, Jawala Mukhi, Brajeshwari Temple in Kangra, Chamunda Devi Temple, Lord Shiva Temple at Baijnath , Vindhya Vasini Temple at Palampur, Kunal Pathri at Dharamshala, Tara Devi Temple in Shimla, Bhoot Nath Temple at Mandi, Mani Mahesh Temple at Chamba, Naina Devi Temple. Khajiaar in chamba is also known as Mini-Switzerland. Manali is having very good sites for skiing, water rafting and paragliding. As a whole Himachal is great package for tourists.
